Jane Dixon

Jane is the Development Officer for the Centre and has over twenty years training experience, in a wide range of subjects. After a career in Finance, she transformed her cake-decorating hobby into a successful retail and training business, even having work featured in magazines (her only claim to fame!). She sold the business and spent five years tutoring Accountancy and Management to trainees across the Highlands. Her hobbies are writing, gardening, and cooking.

Sarah Murray

Sarah is the tutor for the Skills for Living and Working in Sutherland programme. Sarah's background is in hotal and hospitality management working both in the industry and also for the quality assurance aspect of the industry in Scotland. Sarah then moved into educaton working within a wide spectrum of education, some of which included hospitality. Sarah, who is married with one son, continues to study in her spare time as well as enjoying cooking, reading and walking.

Cara Cameron

After leaving school Cara has had a vast range of work and travel experiences, including TEFL and computing. At the age of 27 she decided it was time to go back to college, and graduated 5 years later from SAC with a post graduate diploma in Organic Farming. Cara started as a co-ordinator/tutor at Lairg Learning Centre and has progressed to become the Project Coordinator. She is also active in helping to promote Crofting. Cara enjoys teaching ECDL to all of her brave students and working with the rest of the LLC team. Cara's passion outside of LLC is her young Welsh Cob who manages to take up far too much of her time.

Kelly Mackay

After leaving school, Kelly worked for a Publishing company, before moving onto Call Centre work where she managed various teams and contracts. Kelly is the Project Co-ordinator for our new project ‘Learning to be Enterprising’. Kelly is married with 2 small children and outside of work enjoys spending time with her family, walking, cycling and working on the Croft.
